Sean Reardon

Sean Reardon is the current Mayor of Newburyport, having been elected in 2021. Prior to becoming mayor, he served as an elected School Committee Member starting in 2017. His professional background is in educational sales and administration, with roles at organizations like Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Amplify. Reardon holds a Bachelor's degree in History from The Ohio State University and is anticipated to receive a Master's degree in Public Administration from Capella University. His family has deep roots in Newburyport; his grandfather was the city's first permanent Fire Chief.
