Shannon Russell Hardy is a public school teacher with 32 years of experience and has been a Knightdale resident since 2001. She currently teaches math at an early college high school. She co-founded the community group Knightdale 100 to advocate for local schools and also co-founded the Wake County Community Remembrance Coalition. She earned a bachelor's degree from James Madison University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University.
