Before his judicial career, Babeu served as a police officer in Chandler, Arizona, where he was awarded two Life Saving Medals. He is also a retired Army veteran, having served for 20 years in the National Guard, including a tour in Iraq and a 17-month deployment on the Southwest Border Mission.
