Sonja N. Brown is an incumbent nonpartisan Judge for the Georgia 7th Superior Court Cobb Circuit, running for re-election in 2026. Originally from Freeport, Bahamas, she earned degrees from Clark Atlanta University, Duke Divinity School, and Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. Her judicial duties include presiding over criminal felonies, wills, estates, evictions, divorce proceedings, and reviewing lower court rulings. Judge Brown is actively involved in the community, participating in Covenant House's Sleep Out for youth homelessness and serving on the Tommy Nobis Center Board. She was recognized with the 2022 Georgia Legal Award for Best Mentor and is a past president of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys. Her race for the 2026 election is currently uncontested.
