Steve Exum is a lifelong North Carolina resident and the founder of Exum Photography, a commercial photography studio with locations in Burlington and Elon. He is the son of former North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice James Gooden Exum, Jr. He earned a journalism degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and worked as a photojournalist before starting his business in 1997. He and his wife, Molly, moved to Elon in 2005.
