Sumbul Siddiqui is serving her fourth term on the Cambridge City Council and previously served two consecutive terms as Mayor, the first Muslim mayor in Massachusetts. She immigrated to the U.S. from Pakistan at age two and grew up in Cambridge affordable housing. She is a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, Brown University (B.A. in Public Policy), and Northwestern's Pritzker School of Law (J.D.). Before holding elected office, she was a legal aid attorney.
