Susan Watson is a candidate for Town of Selma Town Council Members in Selma, North Carolina — 2025 General Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

Susan Parrish Watson is a lifelong resident of Johnston County and grew up in Selma. She graduated from Smithfield Selma Senior High School in 1979. After attending Meredith College for two years, she transferred to Appalachian State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Special Education. Watson worked in her family's business, Parrish and Underwood Funeral Homes, from May 1986 until her retirement in September 2023. She previously served as a Princeton Town Commissioner from 2018 to 2020 before moving back to Selma. She was appointed to the Selma Town Council in November 2023 to fill an unexpired term. Her volunteer work includes serving on the Johnston County Education Foundation, the First Citizens Bank Board of Directors, and the Johnston County DSS Board.
