Sylvester Smith III, a servant-leader, father, and long-standing community advocate, is running for Georgia State Senate District 10 to provide leadership that listens. He has served as the 30th Polemarch of the Decatur Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and as a Board Member of the 100 Black Men of DeKalb County, contributing to youth programming. With children who attended District 10 schools, he also served on several school boards. His platform addresses key areas including strengthening community policing, simplifying business licensing, improving school infrastructure and teacher pay, expanding youth mental health access, supporting MARTA expansion, and increasing funding for social services and home repair programs.
