Tawanda Bennett is a resident of Candor and a graduate of Montgomery Community College, Gardner Webb University, and Webster University, where she earned a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and serves as the CEO of Why Not Me Services, an outpatient service in Biscoe for victims of substance abuse and other mental health issues. Bennett was appointed as a trustee for Montgomery Community College in August 2020. She is also the founder of LoveConquersOutreach and CEO of the nonprofit We Only Win, a community center in Biscoe. Additionally, she is involved with the Montgomery County chapter of the NAACP, Montgomery County 2020 Vision, and Leadership Montgomery.
