Terrance T. Lewis

Terrance T. Lewis is an incumbent judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California, having assumed office in 2018 after being appointed by Governor Jerry Brown. His current term is set to end on January 4, 2027. Prior to his appointment as a judge, he served as a Commissioner for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County from 2014 to 2018. His legal career began as a law clerk at the Law Office of Levin and Margolin from 1986 to 1987. He then worked for over two decades as a deputy public defender at the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office from 1988 until 2014. Judge Lewis earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
