Thomas "Tom" Keigher is a current member of the Gaston County Board of Commissioners, representing Gastonia Township. He has served multiple terms on the board, having first been elected in 1998. Keigher graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a degree in Education and taught in Gaston County for two years. He later worked for The Massey Company for 25 years, served as the Executive Director of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Gaston and Lincoln Counties, and started a Medicare Insurance Practice. He and his wife, Donna, live in Gastonia and have four adult children. His community involvement includes serving on numerous boards such as the Gaston College Board of Trustees, Health and Human Services Board, and the Gaston County Economic Development Commission.
