Travis Allen is the incumbent Sheriff of Rowan County, first elected in 2022. He has over 32 years of law enforcement experience. His career began at the Salisbury Police Department in 1994, and he moved to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office in 1998, where he has served in various divisions, including as a detective and investigator. Allen holds a bachelor's degree from Pensacola Christian College. He was also previously a member of the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education, a position he first won in 2014.
