Veronica Fernandez is a lifelong New Jersey resident, born in Franklin, New Jersey, and currently of Long Valley. She is married to Mike, a Navy veteran and electrician of 32 years, and they have two young-adult children whom they raised through New Jersey public schools. She and her husband own and operate a small commercial electrical contracting business; before that she spent more than 20 years as a licensed property/casualty (including health) insurance underwriter in New Jersey. She served seven years as volunteer coordinator for her church's Interfaith Council of Homeless Families in Morris County and has been a foster parent; her children are adopted. A longtime activist affiliated with the League of Women Voters, she previously ran for U.S. Senate in 2020, U.S. House in 2022, and New Jersey General Assembly in 2023.
