First elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2019, Amanda Batten currently represents the 71st District and serves as the House Minority Caucus Chair. Prior to her election, she worked for approximately ten years as a legislative aide for members of the General Assembly, including Senator Tommy Norment and Delegate Brenda Pogge. She was also a fundraising manager for the Medical Society of Virginia. She earned an associate degree from Frederick Community College and a bachelor's degree from Ashford University. She resides in the area with her husband, Rick.
