Amy West Whitley grew up in Smithfield and has been a resident of Selma since 2005. She holds a business degree from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College). Whitley has over 30 years of service with the state of North Carolina and currently works with the Department of Justice in the financial services division. Her volunteer experience includes serving on the Selma Planning Board, Selma's Board of Adjustment, and Selma's Historic Properties Commission.
