Andre L. Green is a candidate for School Committee Ward Four in Somerville, Massachusetts — 2023 General Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

Andre Green has been a member of the Somerville School Committee for Ward 4 since 2016. He is also the Executive Director of SkillWorks, a funder collaborative that focuses on workforce development by helping low-income individuals find skilled jobs. His career has included roles as a 5th-grade teacher, an IT consultant, and various positions at YouthBuild USA, where he worked on federal advocacy and data services. Green has also served as the Political Director for MASSCreative and as a transitional Executive Director for FairTest. He attended Bard College at Simon's Rock, becoming the first in his family to earn a bachelor's degree. Additionally, he has served on the Somerville Human Rights Commission and the board of the Welcome Project.
