Anita F. Parker has lived in Gloucester County for 38 years. She is married with three sons who all graduated from Gloucester Public Schools. Parker previously served on the Gloucester School Board for 16 years, from 2006 to 2021, representing the Petsworth District. During that time, she served three terms as chair and three as vice-chair. Before her board service, she was a substitute teacher and was active in the PTA at Botetourt Elementary, Petsworth Elementary, Peasley Middle School, and Gloucester High School. She was appointed as the interim board member for the Petsworth District in October 2024 to fill a vacancy, with the term ending December 31, 2025.
