He attended local schools including the former West Side Community School, Crosby Junior High School, and Taconic High School. After graduating, he worked in various management positions at Big Y for about 15 years. He previously served on the City Council representing Ward 7 from 2004 to 2010 and made a political comeback in 2019. He is running to regain the seat he lost to Rhonda Serre two years ago.
