April Moore Chandler

April Moore Chandler is the incumbent School Board Member for the Algonkian District, having been elected in 2023. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the College of Charleston. Her career began in bipartisan politics at Quinn Gillespie and Associates before she moved into the legal field, working at Arnold & Porter and Capital One. After her children were born, she worked as a preschool teacher and later as a substitute teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). Chandler has also served as a staff aide to a previous Algonkian District representative and has been an active volunteer for organizations like Moms Demand Action and the Loudoun County Democratic Committee. She resides in Sterling with her husband and two children.
