B Irene Mullins

B. Irene Mullins is an experienced educator, having worked as a teacher and administrator in Tazewell County Public Schools for 33 years before retiring. She has served on the school board for seven years and was named chair for the 2025 calendar year. Mullins earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia at Wise, a master's degree and administrative certification from Salem University, and a second master's degree as a Reading Specialist from Radford University. She has also taught college-level classes for several institutions, including Southwest Virginia Community College and Bluefield State University.
