Betsy B. Carr

Betsy B. Carr has been a member of the Virginia House of Delegates since 2010, representing the 78th district, which includes a significant portion of Richmond. Before her tenure in the House, she served on the Richmond City School Board from 2006 to 2009. Carr is an honors graduate of Hollins University. For 16 years, she was the outreach director at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in downtown Richmond and was a founder of the Micah Initiative, a program partnering faith communities with city elementary schools. In the House of Delegates, she serves on several committees, including Appropriations, General Laws, Transportation, and Rules.
