Blythe A. Scott

Blythe A. Scott was born in Halifax County, Virginia. She earned a bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 1995 and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1998. For 18 years, she practiced law and managed law offices before joining the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office in 2017 as Chief Deputy. She became the Commissioner of the Revenue in April 2021 after her predecessor resigned. She has resided in Norfolk for 19 years with her husband and three children.
