Burk Stringfellow, also known as John Burk Stringfellow, is a Democrat running for Representative in Congress for Virginia's 2nd Congressional District in the 2026 election. Raised by a single mother, he served 14 years in the U.S. Navy, rising to Lieutenant Commander and becoming a Nuclear Plant Operator. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from Oxford. After a career in tech, he now teaches 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. Viewing himself as an activist, he advocates for ending gerrymandering, improving ballot access, strengthening representation for the common person, and saving the American middle class by reclaiming power from what he calls oligarchs.
