Catie Young

Catie Young is a Democratic candidate for the Georgia State Senate, District 24. Originally from Cincinnati, she holds a bachelor's from Seton Hall and a master's in crop and soil science from the University of Georgia, where she also worked in the Morehead Honors College. A former Peace Corps volunteer in sustainable agricultural systems, Young became motivated to run after her involvement with the United Campus Workers of Georgia. She lives in Smithonia and prioritizes agriculture, aiming to address issues like erosion. Her platform also emphasizes common ground on affordability and healthcare, transcending traditional political divides.
