Charlie "Chuck" Frye Jr. was born in Savannah, Georgia, and moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia as an infant. He is a 1996 graduate of James Monroe High School. Frye has worked as a certified natural gas pipe fitter, a shipping clerk at Kaeser Compressors, and has been a package delivery driver for UPS since 2001. He currently serves as the Vice-Mayor for Ward 4 on the Fredericksburg City Council.
