Chauncey D. Robinson

Chauncey D. Robinson is a long-time resident of Galax and an incumbent on the City Council, having won a special election in 2024. A 1988 graduate of Galax High School, he attended Wytheville Community College and the New River Valley Police Academy. Robinson was employed with the New River Valley Regional Jail from 1988 until his retirement in 2020. He is also a Pastor at White Plains Church in Sparta, NC, and Redmond Creek in Grayson County, VA. Additionally, he has worked in funeral services since 2008 and is a Certified Crematory Operator. He also serves on the Galax Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission.
