Is this you? Claim this profileChristine Snead is the current Treasurer for the City of Hampton and was the first Black person to hold the office. She was sworn in on December 17, 2021. Her career with the City of Hampton began in the budget office in 1976, and she retired as the budget director in 2011. Following her retirement, she served on the Hampton City Council from 2012 to 2021. During her time on the city council, she was a member of the city's finance committee and the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission. She won the Democratic primary in June 2021 and ran unopposed in the November 2021 general election.
