David Preston "Cash" Arehart is a twelfth-generation Virginian who moved to Williamsburg in 2001. He currently serves as the Manager of Historic Interpretation at Colonial Williamsburg. Previously, he was the Director of Student Programs for the Sorensen Institute at the University of Virginia. Arehart is an Eagle Scout and has volunteered with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). He is also a 2023 graduate of LEAD Greater Williamsburg and serves on the city's Public Arts Council and the Tourism Development Grant Review Committee.
