Daniel Stahler served for 25 years in the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office, retiring in 2021. For 20 of those years, he was a certified DCJS weapons and General Instructor. He is also a Navy veteran. Stahler earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Bluefield University in 2006 and a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Liberty University in 2015. He is a father of two, one graduate and one current student of Chesapeake Public Schools.
