Daniel Minton

Daniel Minton is a lifelong Quincy resident. He graduated from North Quincy High School and later earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Connecticut, followed by another master's in police administration. Minton joined the Quincy Police Department in 1980, where he rose to the rank of lieutenant and served as the crime prevention officer, creating numerous community programs. He retired from the police department in 2020 and was first elected as Ward 5 City Councillor for the 2024-2026 term.
