David D. Miles is a candidate for Suffolk City Sheriff in Suffolk, Virginia — 2025 General Election. Running as Independent.

David Miles is the incumbent Sheriff of Suffolk. He was appointed to the Chief Deputy position in 2019 and became the interim Sheriff in July 2024 after the retirement of his predecessor. He won a special election to fill the remainder of the term through December 31, 2025. Miles has over 18 years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career in 2006 with the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office and joining the Suffolk Sheriff's Office in 2015. He is a graduate of Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
