Don Wesley Thompson is the incumbent Superior Court Judge for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit in Georgia, a position he has held since his appointment by Governor Nathan Deal in 2016 to fill a vacancy. Before his judicial appointment, he was a partner with the law firm Bruce & Thompson, LLC, located in Summerville. Thompson earned his bachelor's degree from Berry College and a law degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He and his wife, Erica, have one child and reside in Summerville. He is running for re-election for his judicial seat in the general election on May 19, 2026.
