Donald Shuemaker Jr.

Donald Shuemaker Jr. grew up in Manassas Park and has a long history of public service in the city. He previously served on the Manassas Park City Council, where he focused on raising employee pay, lowering property taxes, and expanding the local business base. He also served on the Library Board of Trustees, advocating for the creation of Manassas Park City's own library, which saved taxpayers an estimated $280,000. In 2019, he was part of a decision to refinance the city's debt, resulting in a savings of $2.2 million in interest payments. He has lived in Manassas Park for over 40 years and worked at the local post office for more than 17 years.
