Liz W. Richardson is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, from a family of farmers, watermen, teachers, and first responders. She has a background in education, nonprofit leadership, healthcare, and spiritual care. Richardson holds a B.A. and an M.A. from Virginia Tech, as well as a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University School of Divinity. She has worked as a farmer advocate and decided to run for office after her position was eliminated due to federal budget cuts to USDA programs.
