Dr. Gary Miller is a cardiologist who has practiced in Danville for 36 years. He founded Cardiology Consultants of Danville and was instrumental in bringing the first open-heart bypass program to the Southside Virginia region. He has been a member of the Danville City Council since 2008, serving as Vice-Mayor from 2014-2016 and 2020-2024. Miller received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He previously served on the Virginia Board of Medicine.
