Grant Handley

Grant Handley is a nonpartisan candidate running for the Cecil County Board of Education to represent District 5 in Maryland. He is competing in the primary election scheduled for June 23, 2026, for an open seat with no incumbents. Handley previously served as the Student Member of the Cecil County Board of Education, representing the Cecil County Council of Student Councils. A resident of Elkton, Maryland, Handley went on to attend Cecil College, where he notably won a state scholarship in 2018 for a community social media campaign. Handley is now seeking to bring his local educational background back to the school board as a full member.
