Gunin Kiran

Gunin Kiran is a former two-term member of the Montgomery County Public Schools school board, representing District A from her first election in 2013 until 2021, and previously served as Board Chair. She holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering. Before her tenure on the school board, she was a substitute teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools and served on the board of the Montgomery County Educational Foundation. Originally from Maine, Kiran has been an active member of the Blacksburg community, heavily involved in school PTAs and PTOs. She and her husband have three children.
