James M. Gordon

James M. Gordon and his wife, Kelly, purchased the historic Springfield Farm in Halifax in 2012, moving from Fairfax County. In 2016, they opened Springfield Distillery on the property. The distillery utilizes local Virginia-grown corn and barley. James's father was a master distiller in South Africa, and his recipes were passed down and perfected for the distillery. Before this venture, James gained business experience and an appreciation for local economies, which he aims to support through his business and public service.
