James Thompson, Jr.

James Thompson has served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 21 years as a Naval Aviator, with deployments to Iraq. His service included assignments at Marine Helicopter Squadron One and the White House Military Office, supporting multiple presidential administrations, and as a military advisor at the U.S. Department of State. He has lived in Falls Church since 2013 and is the President of the Winter Hill Community Association. He has also volunteered as a youth sports coach and launched a local team for the Let Me Run boys' running program. He is a non-resident fellow at the Indo-Pacific Studies Center and instructs an undergraduate course for the Lutheran College Washington Semester.
