James W. Creasy is a lifelong resident of Roanoke, born and raised in Southeast Roanoke and a graduate of William Fleming High School. He worked in the Roanoke City Sheriff's office for 24 years, starting as a deputy at age 18 and later serving as a D.A.R.E. program officer for 10 years. He retired from his position as a sergeant in August 2025 to focus on his campaign. Creasy also helps run his family's small business.
