James "Will" Morefield

James "Will" Morefield was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, and grew up in Tazewell County. He comes from a multi-generation coal mining family. Morefield earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (B.A.A.S.) from Midwestern State University in 2007 and an MBA from King University in 2013. His professional experience includes owning a small business. He was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2009, assuming office in January 2010. He currently represents the 43rd district, having previously represented the 3rd district before redistricting. He resides in Tazewell, Virginia.
