Jason A. Vandever has served as the Treasurer for the City of Charlottesville since October 1, 2012, initially taking over after the previous treasurer retired. Before becoming Treasurer, he was the Chief Deputy Treasurer for four years. A Charlottesville native, he graduated from Charlottesville High School in 2000 and earned a Bachelor's Degree from James Madison University in 2004. He also holds a Master Governmental Treasurer Certification, a Master's Certificate in Local Government Management from Virginia Tech, and a Master's Degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University's O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
