Jason Capelle

Jason Capelle has been a resident of Orange County for nearly 30 years. He grew up in a working-class family in southwest Ohio and moved to Virginia in 1984. He earned a degree in Architecture from a Virginia community college while working various jobs. His career experience includes construction, project management, and business leadership. In 1997, a job in military construction brought him to Orange County, where he also started an indoor fish farm operation. After a lengthy battle against a proposed mining operation near his property, he became more involved in public service. He has served on the Orange County Planning Commission for over 15 years and is the current chairman. Capelle is an executive at Chimera Enterprises and a partner in C-Star Solutions with his wife, Sunnie. He has raised two children who attended local public schools and has been active in the community, including coaching youth soccer.
