Jena Crisler grew up in Prince George's County, Maryland. She earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology and economics from the University of Virginia in 1986. After working various jobs, including as a nanny in France, she decided to pursue medicine. She received her D.O. from Nova Southeastern University in 1998 and completed her residency with the Johns Hopkins Internal Medicine Residency Program at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore in 2002. Crisler has worked as an Internal Medicine physician, including as a hospitalist at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital from 2003 to 2020. She lives in Port Republic, Virginia. She is a first-time candidate for public office.
