Jessie Ratey has been a resident of Somerville for over 20 years. She and her husband own Gracie's Ice Cream in Union Square. For 15 years, she has worked in educational philanthropy, focusing on early education and closing K-12 opportunity gaps. Ratey holds an MBA in social policy and has experience running a grassroots nonprofit that offered ESL education. She has two children in the Somerville Public Schools and has served on the Argenziano School's School Improvement Council and planned PTA-sponsored events.
