Joel L. Goodhart

Joel L. Goodhart was born and raised in the New River Valley and is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a master's degree in IT in 2020. He previously worked as the operations manager at the YMCA at Virginia Tech and taught career and technology education with Montgomery County Public Schools. He currently serves on Blacksburg's Housing Committee, is the treasurer for the New River Valley Bicycle Association, and leads Strong Towns Blacksburg. He lives in Blacksburg with his wife and two children.
