Jonathan Barfield Jr. is a real estate broker and the owner of Barfield and Associates Realty. He served as a New Hanover County Commissioner for four terms, from 2008 to 2024, holding the positions of chair and vice-chair multiple times. A U.S. Navy veteran, Barfield has also served on numerous boards and committees, including the Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees and Governor Josh Stein's Transition Team. He graduated from New Hanover High School and has been a licensed REALTOR® since 1997.
