Bryant served in the United States Army Reserves for 20 years and is actively involved in several community organizations, including the Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad, Martinsville-Henry County Crime Stoppers, and the Mount Olivet Ruritan Club. He is married with two children and four grandchildren.
