Joshua E. Thomas is a Marine Corps combat veteran, attorney, and current delegate for Virginia's 21st House District. Inspired to serve after the September 11th attacks, he joined the Marine Corps and led tours in Afghanistan and the Middle East. After his military service, he earned a Juris Doctor degree from the College of William & Mary. As an attorney, he has focused on uplifting communities, ensuring affordable housing, and helping small businesses. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Thomas joined the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps to assist with public health efforts. He was first elected to the House of Delegates in November 2023 and assumed office on January 10, 2024. He is a husband and father.
