Joy A. Powers

Joy A. Powers is a fourth-generation farmer, mother, and advocate running for the Virginia House of Delegates. She lives and works on her family's 350-acre farm in Bedford, Virginia. Powers is a small business owner and the founder of Restore the Harvest, an organization that provides sustainable agricultural education. She has a history of community service, including serving as the Superintendent of the Bedford County Fair and as a member of the Bedford County Agricultural Economic Development Advisory Board. She has also been an active member of organizations like Virginia FFA, Virginia 4-H, and the Virginia Farm Bureau. As a foster parent who adopted her son, she is also an advocate for foster care.
